- [Other] Friendship Day for Graduate Students in College of Education
- Dream Together Master 4th batch students attended "Friendship Day for Graduate Students in College of Education(CoE)" on September 22nd, 2017. The event was organized by CoE in order for the students in CoE to get to know each other. The program consisted of recreations, group exercises and mini games such as jump rope and relay race. Dream Together Master students had a chance to fraternize with those who were from other departments in CoE. After the mini games were over, they had great dinner outside the Gym. - [Field Trip] K-Cycle Tour
- Dream Together Master Program 5th batch students attended the sport field trip to K-Cycle Speedom and experienced the one of KSPO’s Fund Raising Business. Especially, the students had time for introduction of K-Cycle Speedom and its project from Wonil Choi, one of the 4th batch students who works for K-Cycle Speedom. He helped the students with all rest of the tour schedule. The students also toured Velodrome, an arena exclusively for cycle racing and watched a game. - [Special Lecture] Mr. Jim Paek
- On September 20th, DTM had a special lecture with a very special guest from the Korea Ice Hockey Association, Director Jim Paek. Director Paek was the first Korean player who played in the NHL and won the Stanley Cup which is the championship trophy awarded to the NHL playoff winner twice. Now, his jersey is displayed in the Hockey Hall of Fame honouring this feat. Korea Men's National Ice Hockey Team led by the Director Paek won second place in the 2017 Division A tournament and thus qualifying for the top division in 2018 IIHF World Championship. He gave a presentation with the tile of “Hockey Together”. During the lecture, he emphasized that strong leadership is needed for victory, and proper attitude, passion, and sacrifice are the essential elements for the strong leadership. - The course provides insights into the importance of historical approaches and tools to explore and understand historical developments. It also helps students gain insights into the impact on current situations and issues. - [Other] 2017 DTM Welcome Dinner
- Dream Together Master Welcome Dinner for 5th batch was held on September 7th, 2017 in Hoam Faculty House Marronnier Hall. DTM Faculties, Dean of College of Education and staff members from KSPO were present at the event to celebrate and encourage the 5th batch students' new start. - [Class] Module 1 Sport Philosophy & Ethics
- The module gave an insight on the basics of sport philosophy and helped students contemplate the meaning of sport ethics, which can be further extended to the concept of fair play. It also helped students strengthen their own perspective on the essence of sport as a starter of the whole course work of Dream Together Master. - [Korean Culture Tour] Hahoe Folk Village, Andong
- Dream Together Master Class of 2019 went for a Korean Culture Experience Tour with staffs of DTM on September 1st, 2017. To understand Korean history and culture, they visited Hahoe Folk Village, Andong. A tour guide led the students on a tour through the village, and the students had a chance to watch Hahoe Byeolsingut Tallori, a traditional Korean mask performance. - [Field Trip] Maritime Sport Experience
- DTM students were able to learn the theories and applicable skills of maritime sports (dinghy yacht, canoe, cruise, wind-surfing) and were able to familiarize themselves with the maritime sports industry. This opportunity was available for students to understand the current maritime industry, the facility structure and management to gather information to improve current domestic maritime sports. Prior to the education, students were provided a safety education on aquatic sports. Then, professional and experienced instructers gave lesson on Yacht and Windsurfing. Though it seems to be complicating and difficult, all the students were able to manage the aquatic equipments, at the end of the lecture. - [Class] Module 30 Sport Negotiation
- This course addresses basic principles for negotiation and various other theoretical aspects of international negotiation which are essential for sports business and policy making. Negotiation simulation will be conducted in a class, where all students should participate in. - The module provides students with knowledge and understanding of the constituents of effective management of businesses and organisations globally. It examines key management theories and explores their relevance to a range of sport contexts across the world. Case studies and exercises are used to develop understanding of the application of theory to international sport management practice and students will be expected to engage fully.
