  • [Special Lecture] Prof. Sukho Lee at Texas A&M University-San Antonio
  • Dream Together Master invited a special guest Prof. Sukho Lee, Associate Chair & Associate Professor at Texas A&M University San Antonio. Prof. Lee shared his research on Korean wild ginseng to investigate the effect of its extract on exercise performance and cognitive function. Dr. Lee teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Exercise Science. His research interests include 1) supplementation on exercise performance, preventions and/or treatments for diabetes and obesity using exercise and dietary interventions as well as mechanisms of skeletal muscle plasticity by different interventions, including resistance training, hind limb suspension, casting model and oriental medicine. Dr. Lee is a founding member of KUSAPS: Korea United State Applied Physiological Society (www.appliedphysiology.org) and serves as an editorial board member for several peer review journals (International Journal of Exercise Science, Journal of Exercise Nutrition & Biochemistry, International Journal of Applied Sports Sciences, Kinesiology, and Journal of Lifestyle Medicine).   • [Special Lecture] Prof. Joon Sung Lee at University of Florida
  • To give better understanding about athlete transgression in contemporary sport, Prof. Joon Sung Lee presented about potential risks of celebrity endorsement,  a form of brand or advertising campaign that involves a well known person (and athlete) using their fame to help promote a product or service and introduced his research model and moral reasoning strategies in the DTM special lecture at the Seoul National University. Dr. Joon Sung Lee is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Tourism, Recreation and Sport Management at the University of Florida. His primary research encompasses topics surrounding corruption in Sport as a critical sociocultural issue. Focusing on athlete transgression, he has conducted a line of research investigating how sport consumers process an athlete endorser’s transgression information and respond to the troubled athlete in different ways. This line of research has been extended to a variety of topics in athlete endorsement domain. His recent work has been published in top peer-reviewed business and sport journals (e.g., Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Sport Management, Sport Marketing Quarterly, and so on). His work has also been quoted by media (e.g. Business Standard, Boston.com, etc.) to explain sport consumer’s multi- faceted responses to athlete transgression such as Deflategate and Tiger Woods scandal.   • Module 12 Sport Marketing Research
  • The course provides an advanced overview of marketing research methods and techniques. The course will emphasize practical issues related to planning, conducting, and interpreting research relevant to sport management. The course also introduce the student to various multivariate statistical methods, and the application of multivariate statistics to research problems in sport management. The instructor will provide an overview of the more common multivariate data analysis methods that are applicable in the sport management research. We will not go in depth into the mathematics of multivariate statistics, but instead will focus on the application of the multivariate statistics to answer various research questions.   • Module 11 Sport Sponsorship & Social Responsibility
  • The central goal of this module is to provide the student with both a theoretical and an applied understanding of the values and limits to sponsorship. A second focus for the module is to understand the relationship between sponsorship and social responsibility. Views from both the sponsor and sponsee will be considered. The module on the one hand views sponsorship as a funding source for sport and on the other as a marketing platform for sponsors.   • [Korean Culture Tour] Taekwondowon
  • On December 1st, 2018, Dream Together Master 6th batch students took a cultural experience tour to Taekwondowon – Mecca for world taekwondo. By participating in various programs, the DTM students experienced unique Korean culture and philosophical basis for taekwondo.   About Taekwondowon Located in Muju-gun, Jeollabuk-do, Korea, Taekwondowon, the largest training space in the world for taekwondo practitioners, was established in the country where taekwondo was born from its international debut in the Olympics. It offers various experience programs under the themes of learning, challenge, growth, and healing.   • [Forum] Dream Together Seoul Forum 2018
  • Dream Together Seoul Forum 2018 was held on Thursday, November 1st, 2018 (14:00 to 18:30) at Grand Ballroom, Westin Chosun Seoul, Republic of Korea. This year’s forum addressed the topic of “Sport for Peace” for peaceful and better world. This year, our forum aims to address the good examples of peace-building through sport and discuss how sport can not only bring peace but also encourage a culture of peace for better world. The forum is an annual, one-day event that includes a key note speech and presentations from global sport leaders, as well as a panel discussion session with the all presenters and Dream Together Master students to discuss various key issues regarding sport for peace.
