  • [2018 DT Plus] 2nd Alumni Reunion
  • On October 28th, Dream Together Master 2nd to 4th batch alumni have been invited back to DTM to have a alumni reunion. 10 DTM alumni and their bosses from 10 different countries visited Seoul, Korea for the field trip and Dream Together Seoul Forum 2018. Our alumni and their bosses were invited to KSPO(Korea Sports Promotion Foundation) to have presentation about the achievement made after DTM. During the visit, they had the opportunity to build a network that promotes sport development, discuss the current issues and prospective of sport management in modern society, and looked for the ways to cooperate between Korea and developing countries. During one-week schedule, the participants had the chances to visit several sports-related organizations and facilities in Korea such as a tour of bio-mechanics and physiology lab in KISS(Korea Institute of Sport Science) and Korea traditional cultural sites such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon.

  • Module 6. Sport Event Hosting & Legacy Development
  • This module aims to help students to understand how to host sport events and to manage its legacy. This module attracts DTM students who had interest in this topic and who currently work for related organizations. The lecturer, prof. Seong-Hee Park gives practical examples from many countries in various conditions and cultures. On the last day of the week, they had team presentations of the hosting of sports events, simulating they were the bidding team and delegations from their countries.   • [Special Lecture] Mr. Eric Saintrond
  • A special Lecture was held on October 22, 2018 at Seoul National University Building 71-1 Room 206. The Mr. Eric Saintrond (Secretary General / CEO) from the International University Sports Federation gave a lecture about the “The Challenges of Hosting of Sports Events in Major Cities”. From this lecture, students had an opportunity to understand the ultimate goal of FISU and the roles of sport administrators. Besides, it was a great time to share FISU's vision and views on hosting sports events in major cities.   • Module 5 Preparing and Operating Sport Events
  • The module provides a chance to learn practical approaches, skills and tools that help people understand how to prepare and operate sport events. Also, the module covers 3 key planning streams such as client, functional, and venue and operating and evaluating systems.   • [Field Trip] KSPO & Olympic Museum
  • First time that 5th and 6th went on a field trip together. DTM students went to Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO) which has raised national sports promotional funds from cycle racing, motorboat racing, Sport TOTO and contributed them to the enhancement of life standards through the sports and fitness programs. *The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO) was founded as a public service corporation on April 20, 1989 with authorization from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism in order to commemorate the 1988 Summer Olympics and perform a variety of projects for national sports promotion. As a strong supporter of financial affairs for Korean sports, the KSPO will contribute to improving quality of life so that all Korean people can live in harmony through sports and enjoy a healthy life through sports in daily life.   • The main purpose of this class is to provide both a theoretical and practical understanding of sport facility management. Various topics related to sport facility management such as history, governance and finance structures, and management and operation of sport facility were discussed in the class.   • Module 3 Sport History
  • This class is a comprehensive history of sports. Students will begin by examining the origin of athletics and the ways that popular sports and rules have changed overtime. Sports, politics, and social issues merge and intertwine in global society. And these trends are not new. The Olympic movement has always been politicized even as politicians and athletes have proclaimed that sport and politics should not mix. Problems with race and gender have revealed themselves in sport, which sometimes has led and sometimes followed on addressing these issues. In this class the students will look at and try to develop a greater understanding of the intersections of sports, politics, and social issues in global history.   • [Class] Module 1 Sport Philosophy & Ethics
  • The module gave an insight on the basics of sport philosophy and helped students contemplate  the meaning of sport ethics, which can be further extended to the concept of fair play. It also helped students strengthen their own perspective on the essence of sport as a starter of the whole course work of Dream Together Master.   • Fall 2018 Welcome Dinner
  • Dtm Snu 2018 Welcome Dinner on Tuesday, September 4th completed with nice people and fantastic food. The Welcome Dinner was provided for DTM family members who are future sport leaders. 23 students from 22 countries delivered an introductory speech that thanks to the dedicated work of all professors, staffs, and fellow students. It was a great time to enhance social connections and spark friendships with people from diverse cultures. Venue: Hoam Marronnier Hall Date: September 4th 2018
