“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today”.

“The above quote by Malcolm X inspires me a lot. As a student from Sri Lanka, I am very eager to get a higher level of academic exposure in the field of sport management and make a significant impact in Sri Lanka in terms of sport. During my stay with DREAM TOGETHER FAMILY, it was wonderful and perfect time in my life. During my stay, I stand up with different flavors. Because of the DTM, I had a chance to make my own flavor and I am so proud of myself. Below thought my spirit and my strength DREAM- There is nothing like a dream to create the path towards a miracle. Our dream is to make yours come true. TOGETHER- Korea will provide a platform to share its knowledge, experience, and expertise in sport with the rest of the world. MASTER-The field of sport management is in need of “master” to create value through sport”.

“To start, I would like to say that it’s a great honor for me to be a student of the very first edition of the Dream Together Master program. It’s so meaningful for me to be selected among numerous applicants. I’m very grateful for the trust that was placed in me by the faculty members. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who were involved in all the stages of the program, and made it possible to bring us, representatives of the different countries and regions to the one place, which is Seoul National University, famous for its educational and cultural background. It was amazing and unforgettable experience for me at all the levels, academic, professional and personal. Distinguished professors and high-level experts from Korea, US, UK, Australia made this program so valuable and significant. We were provided with all necessary conditions and materials to enrich our knowledge and to strength our skills which will be used as a tool for the further development of sport all over the world. So many events made our journey in Korea interesting and vivid. Visit to PyeongChang and Taekwondowon, maritime activities, special lectures, conferences and forums are now great memories for me. We had opportunity to explore Korean culture and language what made my memories brighter. I have met so many people and friends in Korea that made me feel like home. One year and a half passed so fast and it was such an interesting journey. Once again please accept my sincere gratitude from the bottom of my heart for everything I have experienced and obtained in Korea thanks to the Dream Together Master program”.

Looking back at the last one and a half year at Seoul National University as a student of the Dream Together...

“Looking back at the last one and a half year at Seoul National University as a student of the Dream Together Master (DTM) program, I feel truly grateful for what I have experienced. Sure the workload was pretty heavy with all the assignments and projects, occasional field trips, and last but not least, thesis writing. But I would have not accomplished such valuable things in such a short period without participating in the program--and friends from all around the world were only a plus. Not only the renowned professors who I learned from, but also the classmates were my teachers all having different strengths in work experiences and life skills. The design of the curriculum has assisted me to find out what I'm particularly good at as well as what I'm interested in, with its various sport management subjects ranging from sport philosophy to sport marketing. Lastly, I want to touch upon those who made all this possible―the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO), and Seoul National University. I will do my best to utilize and cherish what I've learned from this program to become a future global sports leader as I sail out to the real world. The philosophy and lessons of the program will move forward within me, with all my heart”.

First of all, let me express my deep satisfaction when being considered to write my thoughts and feelings...

“First of all, let me express my deep satisfaction when being considered to write my thoughts and feelings about the Dream Together Master program. I truly believe the DTM program is the best Sport Management program in the world, because it considers an integral perspective of education in potential leaders from underdeveloped countries in sport having a tremendous social impact. This program is supported by a very prestigious university and many sport organizations, offering the best availability in the country. These elements reflect the serious commitment of the Korean government in helping other countries through sport cooperation, and its vision of becoming the hub of sport development in Asia. The DTM program is very intensive and quite demanding, so it requires patience and discipline to achieve success in courses.

What I liked the most during my stay was the constant pursuit of excellence and the passion of all members involved in making the DTM possible. This program allowed me to make strong friendship with other international students and making a network of colleagues and friends whom I will remember forever. I hope in the near future the alumni of DTM program is considered as a very strong and reputable international network in sport management, opening a wider gate of discussion of development of sport and through sport all over the world.

I would like to express my special thanks to the professors behind the DTM program who always encouraged and supported us to success during our academic preparation, providing the platform to develop ourselves as graduates. I would also like to encourage the DTM program to foster values of excellence in its students and graduates because these are the main pillar of our future leaders in the countries still named “underdeveloped”.

Sport has a tremendous power and it is our responsibility to manage it wisely”.
