When I was 7, I first started to play ice hockey. My sister played ice hockey before me and as I was watching her playing, I thought that this sport will fit me perfectly because I was a very active person. Well, as I started to play ice hockey, sports became a very important and big part of my life. During my middle school years, I was selected for the women’s national ice hockey team and I’m still active. Thanks to my long national team career, I had a lot of valuable experiences such as participating in the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics. Not only playing sports, but I’m also interested in many other perspectives of sports, so I decided to study Sports Science as my major of undergraduate. After I graduated from university, I wanted to study more about it. I found that Seoul National University has a great master’s program ‘Dream Together Master’, so I applied and had an opportunity to study more about global sports management. I really liked the program because I could expand my perspective of sport that I had never had before. Through DTM, I could learn so many various fields related to sport. Also, DTM offered many other practical activities and extra-curricular activities which were exciting. I really liked the whole journey of the program, and all my friends, professors, and staff helped me a lot which made me study harder. Therefore, I could graduate as a valedictorian. It was a great honor for me to speak out in front of my friends and professors at the graduation ceremony. After DTM, I felt very proud, and I can’t wait to work in the sports industry and become a person who has a good influence and develop sport with the knowledge and experience I learned in this program. I really hope that DTM lasts for a long time so that many students could have more valuable knowledge and experiences through the program.
