The Dream Together Master Program signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vietnam Sports Administration on May 2, 2019, after a delegation from DTM headed by Director Joon-ho Kang visited the Vietnam Sports Administration of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism earlier February.
The MOU was established to promote future collaboration and enhance mutual interests of both the Dream Together Master Program and the Vietnam Sports Administration(VSA) in developing cooperative understanding to further support sport at the international level.
The DTM delegation was previously greeted by the Chairman of VSA Vuong Bich Thang and Deputy General Director of VSA Le Thi Hoang Yen at the Vietnam Sports Administration Headquarter on February 15, 2019.
During the visitation, Director Joon-ho Kang introduced in detail about the Dream Together Master Program while stressing the importance of developing future cooperation between DTM and Vietnam Sports Administration as despite DTM’s record of educating and training more than 100 students since its establishment in 2013, a surprising number of four Vietnamese alumni was produced.
Chairman Vuong Bich Thang conveyed his gratitude for the support towards Vietnam sports and agreed that a cooperation agreement was necessary to further enhance cooperation.
The MOU was signed by DTM Director Joon-ho Kang and International Cooperation Department Director Nguyen Hai Duong representing the Seoul National University Division of Global Sport Management Talent Development and Vietnam Sports Administration respectively.
Other than Director Joon-ho Kang, the DTM delegation to Vietnam consisted of DTM Associate Director YuKyuom Kim, Seoul National University Department of Physical Education professors Wook Song, Jaebum Park, Hyoyoul Moon, and DTM staff.
After the meeting, the DTM delegation had a reunion with Vietnamese DTM alumni 1st batch Vu Ngoc Nguyen, Vice Secretary General of the Vietnam Cycling Federation; 2nd batch Quang Vinh Nguyen, Manager of Information and Communication Divison at the Vietnam Anti-Doping Agency; and 3rd batch Quyet Minh Hoang, Assistant to General Secretary at the Vietnam Athletics Federation.
