Summer is always a heart-fluttering season for the Dream Together Master Program as faculty and staff eagerly prepare to welcome a fresh new batch of students in great anticipation.
Our newly admitted 8th batch of the DTM program consists of 27 students from 20 countries, embracing a colorful student body from a wide range of cultures and experiences. The study body consists of students with athletic careers, experience in the government sector of sport and national federations, as well as backgrounds in journalism.
We also made a historic admission to a visually-challenged former athlete and current sport administrator as our first student with a physical disability, expanding our efforts to provide high-quality education for students from all backgrounds.
Applications for this year’s admission reached a record number to date despite the obstacle of the worldwide lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. After carefully scrutinizing the applications with a longer-than-expected admissions process due to delays in the submission of documents, the admissions committee chose applicants that demonstrated potential in becoming future sport administrators.
DTM has granted this year’s admission to students from the following countries: Afghanistan, Botswana, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tanzania, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Zambia.
Students will join the previous 157 DTM students from 52 countries in the adventure that awaits them when they finally arrive in Korea.
Accepted students to the Dream Together Master Program are offered a full-ride scholarship for 17 months in Korea where they will study extensive topics in sport with world-renowned professors and apply their academic learning by having a chance to participate in international sport events through team projects and intern at a Korean sport organization.
