Martin Avila, DTM 4th batch alumnus, was appointed as a Director of School of Sports at the International University of Ecuador (UIDE) on May 2, 2018. The School of Sports which offers 11 different sports such as soccer, volleyball, chess, taekwondo, basketball, golf, sports dancing, weights, horse riding, paintball, and E-sports is one of the largest departments at the university.

“I had the opportunity to be the youngest Director among the other faculties. Having the chance to be in this position has given me great confidence to implement many sports projects the way I wanted. I have to thank my authorities as well for giving me all the opportunities to develop the work with the vision I have,” Avila said.
Since he became the Director, he has suggested action plan for implementation of couple of different sports projects that could have a positive impact on the country to the authorities and tried to open an undergraduate degree in physical activity and sports management after successful implementation of the graduate program.
