The KBO League was founded in 1982, and it has since developed so much that baseball is now the most representative sport in Korea. Over the past two years, more than 8 million spectators filled stadium seats each season. This year, professional baseball has proven its rising popularity as well.
On June 15th, 2018, Dream Together Master 5th batch students took a field trip to Jamsil Baseball Stadium — Heart of the baseball fans. DTM students had a great opportunity to enjoy the Friday night baseball — between most popular two teams in KBO League, LG Twins and KIA Tigers. All tickets were sold out a week ahead of the game.
An hour ahead of the first pitch between the Twins and Tigers, the entrance at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium was crowded with eager baseball fans. Whole slews of people — regardless of nationality or age or team allegiance — waited in line with their foods and snacks, balloons, placards and other cheering tools.

All the fans and DTM students followed the moves of the cheerleaders and sang the cheering song during the game. Singing and dancing in the stadium to cheer for the players represent the Korean baseball cheering culture and exciting atmospheres of the baseball stadiums in Korea. DTM students enjoyed the game as well as foods and various events every mid-innings on the stage.
Attending KBO games is a pleasant way to relax outside on a nice night in Korea. If you are a baseball fan, you will enjoy the good quality of the games. Even if you do not know or care about the game itself, going to a Korean baseball game still has plenty of entertainment for everyone.
