Jincheon National Training Center, where the national athletes’ dreams become a reality, has been a new home of Korean sports since the existing training camp in Taeneung limited capacity and became old facilities after 45 years of operation.
DTM 5th batch students traveled to the Jincheon National Training Center to feel Korean national athletes’ passion toward their new beginnings. During the field trip, the students were provided with the opportunity to tour couple of training facilities in Jincheon National Training Center such as swimming center, judo training center, indoor shooting range, weight training center, and velodrome.
The facility, designated as a new cradle for Korean sports, was indeed massively impressive; It spans nearly more than one thousand meters from end to end – 1,594,870 square meters to be exact. The Jincheon National Training Center has facilities with the capacity of 1150 athletes for 35 sports including outdoor training system for hockey, track and field, indoor gym, and sports medical center.

The tour was an opportunity for the students to have their questions answered face-to-face by supervisors of facility management. The supervisors provided the students with an in depth understanding of the facility status.
“I believe in the power of training to move the sport world. Driven by my passion for sport, I want to make a better world using sports,” said Zaya Yadamdorj DTM 5th batch, Foreign Relation and Operation Manager of Mongolian Shooting Federation.
We hope Jincheon National Training Center will make sporting history and leave behind a long lasting legacy.
