Jordan Triathlon Committee – Athlete |
Firas got involved with Jordan Triathlon Committee (JTC) in the public relations sector and event management. This opportunity was the very first step for him to apply all the theories what he had learned from the classes to the real life. With the continued support of him, JTC has successfully managed to run the 3rd Dead Sea Triathlon & Duathlon. This event was considered one of the most successful triathlon events of all time. His efforts expanded JTC’s horizons to start planning for bigger triathlon events in the country. Jordan will host an official ITU race in October 2018 and planning for future Ironman 70.3 race.
After the amazing journey, Firas, as a fresh administrator who is eager for a personal development in dynamic sport field, went back to his home country to pursue his passion in sport. On a personal level and away from the administrative field, he is still representing his country as an athlete and still pursuing his Olympic dream.
He also volunteered to coach cross country at “Edenglen Primary School” when he was on a training camp in Johannesburg-South Africa. His main goal was to teach young generation about Olympic values such as friendship & excellence, in addition to sportsmanship through training. Because of his efforts, the whole team qualified for the D17 championships.
