Mauricio Hernandez, Dream Together Master 5th batch student, Former Sport Instructor at SENA (National Service for Vocational Education), received an Encouragement Award at the “Korea Together World’s People Essay Contest” organized by South Korea’s Ministry of Justice. In commemoration of the 11th Together Day that aims to help create an environment where foreigners in Korea respect each other and live in harmony, the Ministry of Justice hosted the essay contest under the theme “From our Hearts to Yours.”
In his essay, he defined diverse cultural exchanges in South Korea and reflection on what it means to be harmony. During his stay in Korea, he has experienced not only culture but also tradition as the student of Dream Together Master at Seoul National University. “I would like to have more words to express my gratitude towards Korean people for the chance they gave me to make my dream come true and give me the chance to know and understand their culture,” he wrote.
Together day has been held annually on May 20th since 2007 as more and more foreigners in South Korea interact and communicate with one another.
