Professor Joshua Newman, the Associate Professor of Sports Management at Florida State University, presented a speech which compared and contrasted the influence of the sports industry based on regional and periodical economic activity in the U.S.
Professor Newman elaborated on the impact of the sports industry that can have in the economy of a country by giving several examples of developed sports economies in various developed nations.
Through the analysis of sports business case studies, Professor Newman concluded that there is a diverse set of factors that contributes to the success of sports businesses, which also affects the social development of a nation.
To close, his lecture, the professor provided separate question and answer sessions which promoted active networking from the students.
