[Field Trip] DTM to KSPO, “Enjoy Sports, We Support”
“Enjoy Sports, We Support.” The slogan of the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation(KSPO) was engraved brightly inside of 5th batch students’ hearts. KSPO invited DTM for the 3 memorable events; Seoul Olympic Museum tour, National Fitness Award 국민체력100 test, and the international forum ‘The Value of the Olympics and Paralympics. Movement from 1988 Seoul to 2018 PyeongChang.’. Early morning, DTM 5th batch students arrived at the KSPO. Along with the warm welcome of KSPO, the 4th batch student Aldo Tong, currently working as an intern in KSPO, greeted the 5th batch. Aldo enthusiastically guided throughout the museum and inspired with the spirit of the Olympism. It was a memorable moment to experience the legacy of the Olympics and DTM. National Fitness Award 국민체력100 is a nationwide project of KSPO to enhance public health of Korea. 4 volunteers participated the test and received their results. The practical experience helped students to relate sports, public health, and the responsibility of DTM as a ‘world sports leader’. The last session was the international forum with the topic of ‘The Value of the Olympics and Paralympics. Movement from 1988 Seoul to 2018 PyeongChang.’. Wishing a successful hosting of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, DTM 5th batch students shared their notions. The forum’s topics consisted Olympic Legacy and Peace, Global Co-operation, Social Inclusion, and the Economy. Fruitful conference influenced substantially to DTM. “Enjoy Sports, We Support” DTM dreams together with KSPO. DTM appreciates KSPO for its passionate support.
