  • [Extracurricular] International Sport Media Forum The Dream Together Master class of 2016 attended the International Sport Media Forum which was held in Yueido, 63 Tower Square Sequoia & Pine Hall on May 7th, 2015. The forum was hosted by the Korea Sports Press Union (KSPU) and the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) under the topic of "How to successfully host the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics." Renowned experts in the sports industry including IOC Member Mr. Gerhard Heiberg, AIPS president Mr. Gianni Merlo and IOC Press Commission Member Mr. Hiroshi Takeuchi participated as speakers and shared their thoughts. This forum was funded by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics Organizing Committee, SBS Sports and Sports Toto.   • [Special Lecture] Mr. Gianni Merlo Mr. Gianni Merlo's special Lecture was held on May 6, 2015 at Seoul National University Bldg 152 Seminar Room. In his lecture, Mr. Merlo highlighted the significant aspects of the AIPS’ 90 year of history since 1924 and its future direction of the organization. Mr. Merlo provided an opportunity for students to broaden their practical knowledge and skills in the field of sport management. Mr. Merlo helped to develop an appreciation of the sport media and communication among the students.   • [Special Lecture] Mr. Gerhard Heiberg Mr. Gerhard Heiberg's special Lecture was held on May 6, 2015 at Seoul National University Bldg 152 Seminar Room. Mr. Heiberg shared his view on the importance of creating sustainable legacies for the host cities of the Olympics using examples of the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics and the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.   • Dream Together Master Program at SportAccord Convention 2015 in Sochi, Russia
  • The Dream Together Master Program participated in the SportAccord Convention 2015 which was staged from April 20th to 24th in Sochi, Russia. Professor Kihan Kim (Director), Professor Choonghoon Lim (Associate Director) and two assistant coordinators of the program managed the exhibition booth as delegates representing the Korea’s Dream Together Project. As part of the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s ODA (Official Development Assistance) project, Dream Together Project offers an opportunity for developing countries to learn from Korea’s expertise and knowhow in sports it has acquired in the process of becoming one of the sporting powerhouses of the world. The project consists of three programs: (1) educating sports administrators (through the Dream Together Master Program), (2) educating sports coaches, and (3) training invited athletes at the Jincheon National Training Center. The main purpose of the Dream Together Master Program, in attending the convention, was to promote the program to the participants, to develop new business opportunities, and to attract future students who are currently working as sport administrators. SportAccord Convention, a 5-day annual gathering of leading representatives from international sport, is the world's premier event at the service of sport, focused on driving positive change internationally, and dedicated to engaging rights holders, organizing committees, cities, businesses and other organizations in the development of sport.   • [Special Lecture] Mr. Wilfried Lemke Mr. Wilfried Lemke's special Lecture was held on February 10, 2015 at Seoul National University Bldg 12 - 401. Mr. Lemke provided in-depth knowledge and insights under the topic of Sport for Development & Peace by sharing his field exprience as an USOSDP Special Adviser.   • 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Preparation Experience
  • 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Preparation Experience - Class of 2016February 2- 4, 2015Day 1DTM Class of 2016 students started an exciting journey by visiting the Gangneung Ice Arena in Gangwon province. At the arena, the students got explanation on how the venue will be used at the Olympic and learned how to ice skate. Then, the class took the road to go to the main destination, the Alpensia Resort where the Winter Olympics will be done in 2018.At the resort, the students got chance to meet the venues & facilities planning department director of the PyeongChang 2018 Organizing Committee, Mr. Jong-guy Lee, who gave an insightful view of how the Organizing Committee is preparing for upcoming important events. Day 2The second day brought another new experience for the majority of the students, ski. With all the equipment and the enthusiasm, the students started climbing the hill with the help of the great instructors at the place. The class had so much fun learning ski although many of them fell down several times. It was a day of excitment and enjoyment. Day 3The DTM group enjoyed the PyeongChang trout festival on the third day. This traditional activity saw the students catch a fish in the water with their bare hands, while they battled the cold and the difficulty of catching a slippery trout. Other recreations at the festival like ice rafting and go-kart racing also provided a lot of fun for this diverse group that had never enjoyed the winter as much as those three days.

  • [Sports Field Trip] Taereung National Athlete Center - Class of 2016Dream Together Master Class of 2016 visited the Taereung National Athlete Center on December 23rd, 2014 with the director, Professor Kang. One of the managers from the center offered the students a presentation on brief history of the Korean Olympic Committee. After the presentation, the class went on a facility tour and watched how the Korean national athletes train at the facility.   • Commencement Ceremony for the Dream Together Master Class of 2015 Students
  • Commencement Ceremony for the Dream Together Master Class of 2015 Students The Dream Together Master Program successfully held its very first commencement ceremony for the Class of 2015 on Friday, December 19, 2014 amidst warm congratulations from friends, family, and faculty members. Professor Kihan Kim opened the commencement ceremony and welcomed the first class of Dream Together Master students and their families, friends, department professors, and distinguished guests to the event. The ceremony was then followed by congratulatory remarks from the Executive Chairman of the Korea Foundation for the Next Generation Sports Talent (NEST), Mr. Kang Young Song, who congratulated the students for their hard work and urged the students to continue to work towards developing sport in their respective countries. The director of the Dream Together Master Program, Professor Joon-ho Kang, gave his commencement speech and encouraged students to face the uncertainties and risks that lie ahead in the 21st century. Particularly, he reminded the students to apply what they learned and experienced at Seoul National University. He then awarded 22 students from 18 different countries with their respective certifications. Isai Cruz of Guatemala, valedictorian of the Class of 2015, ended the ceremony, addressing his fellow graduates and guests to embrace diversity and promised to stay in touch. The commencement ceremony of the Dream Together Master Class of 2015 marks the start of its promising alumni who are now working in various parts of the world and contributing to positive change in their sport systems.

In his lecture, Mr. Dong Hoo Moon highlighted the significant roles and attitudes of sports administrators all over the world and shared his knowledge based on his experience at various sport organizing committees.
