  • The course focuses on basic biomechanical and neuromechanical principles and how these principles apply to the human musculoskeletal system and to human movements. What is "Neuromechnics"?Professor took the DTM students to the sport technology laboratory to explain biomechanical measurement techonologies. One of the research assistant from Nepal who is also a graduate student in prof. Park's laboratory assisted the introducing.Students experienced the biomechanical measurments which is applied to the human musculoskeletal system.Students exploring the facilities and technology with the laboratory assistants and professor.Professor and students having a group photo after the class.   • This course provides the students with an opportunity to discuss general concepts pertaining to health and exercise.   • [Extracurricular] SPOEX 2016 The Dream Together Master 3rd batch students attended the Seoul International Sports & Leisure Industry Show 2016 which is being held in COEX Hall, Seoul during Feb 25th-28th, 2016. The exhibition was organized by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO) and Korea International Trade Association (KITA). Dream Together Master students could experience top trade show leading the latest trends in Korea's sports and leisure industry from SPOEX 2016. SPOEX included the Outdoor Sports, Camping/Camping Car, Bike, Water Sports(KUSPO), Sporting Goods/Facilities and Health/Fitness.   • [Thesis Workshop : Session 4]DTM 3rd batch students aiming to quality master research within the program, had the third thesis Workshop. Professor Okseon Lee(Professor in Physical Education of Seoul National University) gave a lecture about Qualitative Research Methods.Date: February 16th, 2016Venue: Seoul National University Building 153 Room 411Prof. Okseon LEE gave a lecture about the methods of qualitative research. She not only gave the lecture but also gave out several activity to derive research questions from the students.Professor delievering "Qulitative research is an inquiry process of understanding based on distinct methodological traditions of inquiry that explore social or human problem. The researcher builds a complex, holistic picture, analyzes words, reports detailed views of informants, and conducts the study in a natural setting."(Creswell, 1998, p.15)Students concentrating on Professor's lecture.Prof. Okseon mentioned that researcher should plan for protecting him/herself when data collection break his/her heart. Researcher's stance is on Time, Patience and Persistance.Professor emphasized "Write promptly". The writing of field notes takes personal disciplines and time.(Lofland, 1971, p.104).

  • Abhishek(Indian Student), awarded Commendation in Development of Taekwondo
  • Abhishek Dubey (DTM student from India) was honored with the Letter of Commendation by the KUKKIWON (World taekwondo Headquarters) in Seoul. The Commendation was awarded in recognition of his contribution in development and dissemination of Taekwondo. Kukkiwon recognized his efforts in the field of Coaching and producing medalists from a developing nation of India. The athletes bagged medals at Korea Open International Taekwondo championship in 2015, South Korea as well as The Commonwealth Taekwondo championships 2014 in Scotland.

  • A special Lecture was held on February 4th, 2016 at Seoul National University Building 152 Seminar Room. Mr. Jae-min PARK gave a lecture about the present overall sports Marketing and new business power of sports marketing.   • [Thesis Workshop Session 3] Prof. Kihan KIM
  • [Thesis Workshop : Session 3]DTM 3rd batch students aiming to quality master research within the program, had the third thesis Workshop. Professor Kihan KIM gave a lecture about Guidlines for Thesis Binding and Printing.Date: February 1st, 2016Venue: Seoul National University Building 153 Room 411 In the beginning, professor Kihan KIM gave a general guidelines for thesis layout, and few students asked questions to make sure what they understood.Students showing satisfaction about the detailed format of thesis binding. From the size of the title margins to the referencing with APA style, professor Kihan KIM tried to explain all of his knowledge about the format. Students focusing on professor Kihan KIM. Finishing a thesis is often a last-minute project. Sometimes students even submit their files at night before the deadline. Professor gave ample experience this day. He did not swamp students with difficult technics, but come up with solutions.

  • 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Preparation Experience
  • 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Preparation Experience - Class of 2017 January 25 - 27, 2016 Day 1 DTM Class of 2017 students started an exciting journey by visiting the Gangneung Ice Arena in Gangwon province. At the arena, the students got explanation on how the venue will be used at the Olympic and tried how to ice skate. Then, the class took the road to go to the main destination, the Alpensia Resort where the Winter Olympics will be done in 2018.At the resort, the students got chance to meet the venues & facilities planning department director of the PyeongChang 2018 Organizing Committee, Ms. Yae-sung Lim, who gave an insightful view of how the Organizing Committee is preparing for upcoming important events.Day 2The second day brought another new experience for the majority of the students, ski. With all the equipment and the enthusiasm, the students started climbing the hill with the help of the great instructors at the place. The class had so much fun learning ski although many of them fell down several times. It was a day of excitment and enjoyment. Day 3The DTM group enjoyed the PyeongChang facility experience third day. We had opportunity to see national ski jump athletes practicing, which provided a lot of fun for this diverse group that had never enjoyed the winter as much as those three days. Students jumping with excitement to reach their dream.
